This weekend on Saturday, December 15, Demetro Gallery will host a benefit to help the education costs of the children at the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza. Better known as R.I.S.E., the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza is a non-profit shelter for babies and children under the age of 14. Some of these children are orphans, but most come from unbearable situations. There are currently approximately 50 children in residence.
Operating cost of the shelter are more than $5,000 USD per month, not including other needs and programs, like the children’s education and for this reason sculptor Jim Demetro and his wife Eva are hosting this benefit to lend a helping hand.
Dubbed ‘Revolution through Education,’ this fundraising event will donate all proceeds to benefit the RISE education fund.
Come enjoy an beautiful evening that includes outstanding
food, beverages, and more – all for a good cause! 100 % of proceeds raised will be donated to the education fund for these children.
Tickets are available for $400 Pesos at Demetro Gallery on Lazaro Cardenas, located across from the park of the same name, on the south side of Puerto Vallarta.
If you can’t attend the event but would like to become a donor, RISE depends on private donors to provide a secure, clean and loving environment for children who are either homeless or at risk in their own home.
