Empty the Tanks is a self-proclaimed peaceful movement aiming to create awareness about marine life in captivity and seeking to put an end to what they describe as an exploitative industry. Their stated final goal is to return captive cetaceans worldwide to the open sea or to appropriate marine sanctuaries where they can live the rest of their lives with dignity.
Join the cause at the Malecón de Puerto Vallarta, next to the lighthouse, from 5:30 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, May 12 to be part of the Empty the Tanks movement. This will be their sixth year of peaceful protest, in 70 different locations in 23 countries, including Mexico.
A few notes: Bring a poster with a positive message, dress with white shirt or blouse and remember, this is a peaceful movement, it is important to present a respectful attitude towards opposing opinions.
